Situated east of Denver, Lowry’s central location grants residents fast access to Cherry Creek, downtown, and Stapleton. Because of its walk and bike-ability, Lowry is a desirable place for people of all stages of life.
Both the North and South Buildings of The Met at Boulevard One have installed works of art created by artists Genna and Signe Grushovenko in the front entryways. These are very vibrant contemporary oil paintings and are inspired by vintage photographs with the sense of nostalgia of a simpler time and the balance of vintage imagery mixed with a contemporary style. The Grushovenko’s are a husband and wife team located in Greenville, South Carolina who have an interesting story to how their art is created.
The Met at Boulevard One has been eagerly anticipating details on what stores and restaurants will fill the spaces within the retail center at The Exchange at Boulevard One. This is a mixed-use development in the northwest corner of East Lowry Boulevard and Quebec Street and it just so happens to be our newest neighbor.
Utah based artist, Lyman Whitaker’s Wind Sculptures have been installed in both the open space of the North and South Buildings at The Met at Boulevard One. Whitaker has been a practicing sculptor for over 50 years, with the past 30 years primarily focused on creating Wind Sculptures.
Lowry’s parks and recreational areas are equal in size to 20 percent of all park space in the city of Denver. These parks are environmentally conscious and were built responsibly, with 35 percent of the total acreage devoted to native plants and grasses, and less than half sod, some of which even include low water grass varieties.
The Met at Boulevard One is now featuring art created by local Denver artist Rick Martin in our 3-acres of open space. Martin is a self-taught welder that has been creating metal sculptures since 1991.
There are many interesting historical facts about the Lowry neighborhood that date all the way back to the 1800’s. When deciding on choosing The Met at Boulevard One to be your new home, you may not realize the deep roots and history of the Lowry Neighborhood which make it so unique.
Ekar Farm is an urban farm located within walking distance of The Met at Boulevard One. For over ten years now, they have served as a means to connect people to their community, and the community to mother nature and the earth.
The Met at Boulevard One welcomes “Portals as Towers of Passage “ to their new home and encourage residents of The Met and greater Lowry to discover the beauty this art has to offer to the community.
